Admissions

Summer Options

Per U.S. Department of Education and Federal Student Aid regulations, a student is eligible to receive Pell grant funds up to 150% of the student’s scheduled award for an award year effective beginning with the 2017-2018 award year. At Illinois Central College, the award year begins with the fall semester and ends with the following summer semester for consideration of financial aid eligibility. Illinois Central College will review student records upon request to determine if exceptions will be made for students regarding remaining Pell eligibility in the current award year.

To be eligible for the additional Pell Grant funds, the student must meet all Eligibility requirements to receive financial aid for the payment period. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours in the payment period for which the student receives the additional Pell Grant funds in excess of 100% of the student’s Pell Grant Scheduled Award.

Please note, if a student has not received 100% of the award year funds, eligibility up to 100% will be awarded for less than 6 credit hours.
