Parking

Parking for visitors is available in the Visitor’s Lot, Lot V, located on the side of the Technology Center building. All students and employees are prohibited from parking in the Visitor’s Lot, except for use of the 30-minute restricted spaces. This applies to all students and employees, no matter your scheduled class times or locations.

Students may park in yellow-striped parking areas in Lots A, B, F, G, and near Dirksen Hall. Students are prohibited from parking in blue-striped staff parking spaces and Staff Lots E and CC. Students may park in Lot C, but only after 4:00 pm.

Designated 15-minute parking spaces are located in Lot E and near the Loading Dock for loading/unloading heavy or bulky materials. Designated 30-minute parking spaces are located on College Circle and in the Visitor Lot. Students and employees may use these spaces to make quick trips into the buildings.

Employees parking in Staff parking spaces must display an employee parking tag. Lot E is reserved for employees displaying a “red” parking tag. Any employee may use parking Lot E after 4:00 pm. Lot CC and certain spaces along Performance Lane are reserved for employees displaying a “green” parking tag. “Red” and “green” parking tags may be requested through the office of the Executive Vice President of Administration and Finance.

The Campus Housing resident parking lot is restricted to residents displaying a current parking sticker or guests displaying a guest pass issued from the Campus Housing Office. The Campus Housing Office lot is restricted to guests with business in the Office or residents using the building with permission to park from the Office.

Peoria Campus

Parking

Ample free parking is provided at the Peoria Campus. No special tags or stickers are required, except for designated Disability Parking and other parking spaces with posted restrictions.

Parking in the State Building (immediately off University to the East of Arbor Hall) is restricted to State employees only. While some parking lots fill quickly, especially on the North side of campus, there are numerous spaces in Lot 1 and 3 on the south side of campus (see Campus and Parking Overview map above) for additional parking.

Pekin Campus

Parking

Ample free parking is provided at the Pekin Campus. No special tags or stickers are required, except for designated Disability Parking.


Parking Violations

Signage is posted at each parking lot. Violator vehicles will be ticketed and/or towed and a fine will be assessed in accordance with College policies and state/local laws. See the College Regulations Policy on the Campus Police page for further information concerning fines and appeals.

Traffic and parking informational brochures are also available at the Student Service Centers and Campus Police offices on each campus.

Parking for Persons with Disabilities

Designated Disability Parking is available in lots on all campuses and is reserved for qualified individuals clearly displaying authorized Disability License Plates and/or Disability Placard.

Temporary Disability Parking Passes (for a maximum of seven days) may be obtained from Campus Police. These passes are given for walking disabilities such as temporary use of crutches, foot surgery, etc. Those requiring passes in excess of seven days are to obtain a Disability License Plate and/or Placard from the Illinois Secretary of State.
