Testing Center

The Testing Center at Illinois Central College seeks to provide the highest quality of testing services for our students and employees, as well as members of the community in compliance with the nationally recognized National College Testing Association (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines. Our professionally trained staff strives to administer tests in a pleasant, technologically advanced environment. Our goal is to exceed our clients’ expectations of their testing experience and to assist them in achieving their academic and professional objectives. We believe that, by holding ourselves to the highest level of standards, we help foster the mission of Illinois Central College, which attests: “Through learning, minds change. Types of Testing Offered

Accuplacer Placement

ICC now offers the next-generation ACCUPLACER test, designed to help place you in classes that match your skill level and identify your knowledge, strengths, and needs in math and reading.

ACT Exam

ICC’s East Peoria Testing Center serves as a site for the ACT exam. However, you must register with ACT online at actstudent.org. For more information about the ACT exam, check your local high school office or visit act.org.

Credit for Prior Knowledge

Students may apply a maximum of 30 credit hours towards a degree through College Credit by Examination. Students pursuing a certificate must complete a minimum of 30% of their credits towards their certificate at Illinois Central College.

Illinois Certification Exams

ICC’s East Peoria Testing Center serves as a test site for the CNA and EMT exams, as well as many others such as: IL Barber, IL Cosmetology, IL Esthetician and IL Nail Technician.

NCRC/ACT WorkKeys

ICC offers ACT WorkKeys testing giving you the opportunity to complete or improve your rating on the National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC).

PearsonVue

ICC’s Testing Centers are PearsonVue Authorized Test Center offering (but not limited to) American College, CISCO, CompTIA, GED and Evaluation Systems exams. To make an appointment to test, call (309) 694-5345. For more information about the exams, visit pearsonvue.com.

Proctoring and Access Services

Need to make up an exam or quiz? The Testing Center often will “proctor” your exam. That means you and your instructor make arrangements for you to take your test or quiz under the watchful eyes of our Testing Center staff.

PSI

ICC’s Testing Centers serve as PSI testing sites. For more information regarding the exams they offer, please visit psiexams.com.

Scantron(formerly Castle Worldwide)

ICC’s Testing Centers are Castle Worldwide Authorized Testing Centers. Some of the exams offered are (but not limited to) WOCNCB and BOC Athletic Trainer Certification. View a complete listing of available testing programs.

SAT Exam

ICC’s East Peoria Testing Center serves as a site for the SAT Exam. However, you must register with SAT online. For more information about the SAT exam, check with your local high school office or visit the CollegeReadyiness.org website.

TABE

ICC’s Testing Centers offer the TABE test. This is a post-test exam for those Adult Education students who have completed their required 40 class hours. It will determine level gains so far.

TASC Exam

ICC’s Testing Centers serve as a site for the TASC exam. This is a high school equivalency exam that is similar to the GED exam, which ICC offers through PearsonVue. Get more information on the TASC exam.
