Attention Aspiring Student Writers!

Enter the Student Life Writing Contest

Submit your original work for one of these categories:

  • Documented research paper
  • Creative writing/short story
  • Essay of 500 words or less on “How my community college changed my life” (Paul Simon Essay Contest)
  • Poetry/lyrics
  • Memoir-Focus on one episode in your life and how it impacted you. It can be serious, funny, sad…the choice is up to you. Your memoir should be 700-1000 words in length, double spaced.

Prizes awarded in each category for 1st place ($75), 2nd place ($50), and 3rd place ($25). “Essay” category awards one winner only.

Deadline to submit your work is Fri., March 12 by 4:30 pm.
