Departmental Proficiency

Illinois Central College faculty have developed proficiency tests for many courses within the Agricultural and Industrial Technologies department (Agriculture, Electronic, HVAC/R, Horticulture, Manufacturing, Skilled Trades and Welding) and Health Careers department programs.

For a $75 fee a learner who can demonstrate knowledge and ability in a particular subject area may earn credit for Illinois Central College courses (IE: RNRS 111 and RNRS 150) without enrolling in them. This is done by taking a test or by demonstrating a level of skill evaluated by the appropriate faculty within the department.
