The Commencement ceremony is an opportunity for you, your family, and your friends to celebrate your accomplishment of achieving this milestone in your education. The 2025 Commencement ceremony is at the Peoria Civic Center on Saturday, May 17, 2025. The event will be live-streamed at 10:00 a.m. on YouTube, Facebook, and Tassel. In addition to announcing the graduates, Dr. Sheila Quirk-Bailey, ICC President, will make live remarks, and our commencement keynote speaker, Doug Oberhelman, former CEO and Executive Chairman of Caterpillar, will offer inspirational words. Congrats to ICC Grads! Don’t forget to tag your photos with #ICCGRAD2025 on social media and utilize the fun resources in the ICC Graduation Toolkit. Graduates who registered for commencement may visit this webpage after the ceremony to download and share their personalized commencement slides. You can also order your announcements, class ring, or diploma frame. Cap and Gown Pickup You can purchase your pre-ordered cap and gown at the East Peoria Campus Bookstore the week of April 28 – May 2. If you did not pre-order, a limited supply of caps and gowns is available for $35.00 + tax. For pricing of individual pieces, please contact the Bookstore at (309) 694-5208 or bookstore@icc.edu. Attending Commencement Each guest will be allowed to carry one (1) clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag that does not exceed 12″x 6″ x 12″ or one (1) one-gallon clear plastic bag. Each guest will be allowed to carry one (1) small clutch that does not exceed 5″ x 8″. Diaper bags (with a child age three and under) and bags carrying medically necessary items are allowed after security completes a visual inspection inside of the bag.
